I'm really sick of it. The portfolio website I've been using for 7 years, which is specifically for the arts, has started changing my portfolio to private so I can't share my figure drawings anymore.

Instagram and Facebook take down drawings and paintings, Tumblr got rid of adult content, Patreon deletes many profiles with adult content, Craigslist ruined the posting of certain ads.

Pornhub seems unaffected, so I'm fine.

Yeah it does seem like there are fewer and fewer outlets for people to display mature art and photography.

It's like in the 90s when Christian conservative soccer moms were protesting outside of Walmart because they had rap music in their CD section without a big enough warning sticker on it.

The Tumblr censorship was especially bad, it was one of the few places where people could post the images at full resolution. Instagram and Facebook resize images.

Out of curiosity, TC, why not set up your own portfolio website? It's not hard, and if you're actually doing art professionally it's a much better look than "check me out of tumblr".

The website I was using was called Behance, you should check it out. It was professional looking but now this happened.

But I wanted to build my portfolio a bit more before launching my own website.

I believe there are restrictions on it, but I'm not sure how enforced it is. Regardless, you're now limited to only 1000 pictures for free accounts.

Ironically giving people complete liberation like that would only make people isolate themselves to their in groups and radicalize.

1,000? I guess that would be fine. I started doing more outdoor photography and photographing NYC events so I'll be more selective when uploading.

It depends on the content I think, but I am surprised what is censored and what isn't. Like this model I know posted a pic on Instagram from her perspective of her underwear down around her legs and a bloody pad on her underwear, that image isn't taken down but a painting gets taken down.

God I hated those people,I listened to Bone Thugs N Harmony and Marilyn Manson.The struggle was real here in Texas.We all rose up and wore their shirts to school lol.

Censorship is stupid.

That's why there are ignore features or just moving on.

Censorship sounds like a good idea until it starts impacting your ability to communicant and speak freely.
