that was a great direct. For the first 2 thirds they basically showed some new gameplay mechanic every 5 seconds. New story mode, multiplayer gameplay that you can do online competitively or cooperatively.

And the voucher thing is cool too. People with Switch online can effectively buy games for $50 instead of $60 as long as they commit to getting two games. (You pay $100 and get two vouchers to spend on any $60 games, they last for a year and can be spent separately)

That was terrific. The fact that they could've said so much of new little things for most of that 15 min speaks volumes as to how good it could be. Also online co-op for this game sounds freaking amazing

Be careful when using the vouchers, some of the games are $49.99 now.

The best bet would be to get Mario Maker and Pokemon/LM3/AC2019/any surprises/FE

Not gonna lie, as salty as I am at Nintendo for shafting the Wii U with poor support and a nerfed version of Breath of the Wild...I might consider getting a Switch for Mario Maker 2.

I dunno about you, but I actually preferred the Wii U version of BotW, though I think it's a bit different now cuz the Switch has an overclock mode
