I turn 30 this fall and I am routinely mistaken for being too young to drink. Men will call me "chief, bud, buddy, champ..." When I speak like an adult and not a teenager, I get "Well spoken!" I don't mind being called "son" but "hon" from women annoys me.

I find people think they know what I should do and feel like they can lecture me. Teenagers act like we're the same age.

Story of my life. And I'm a teacher so it doesn't help.

I got a fresh cut recently and then went to a the mall. A fucking girl you had to be high school age checked me out and smiled. I'm fucking 29. I look 16-18 though.

Some of my 8th graders look older than me.
