They just started mentioning surgery for my scoliosis. Once you start getting better weapons and bike upgrades gameplay becomes less of a chore and starts getting fun. I been putting off setting up the initial meeting with the surgeon how long ago was it that you were diagnosed with scoliosis? how bad was/were your curvature(s)? did you have to wear a brace or anything? i was diagnosed in 5th grade when my older sister was screened for it and they found it in her, and so they screened me and my brother since it is genetic. her curvatures were so bad that they had to do the surgery on her ASAP, but they caught it in me early enough that i just had to wear a brace for 22 hours a day basically until i was 18. we were both treated at the Shriner's Free Hospital for Children in Sacramento because we were low income. as far as medication, i'm very wary of opioids, and i don't even like taking regular off the shelf pills unless i can't help it. i only take some aleve or advil when the pain gets really bad, otherwise i mostly just grit my teeth and bear through it. i don't even know how much of the different pains i suffer are related to my scoliosis or are something else entirely, and doctors have been no help whatsoever in determining that. one doctor awhile back literally told me "oh well it's impossible for us to determine exactly what causes back pain", and the last doctor i saw had some x-rays ordered and then wouldn't even look at them because he says he doesn't know how to read x-rays, so i don't know what the fuck was up with that. Holy shit your doctors sound especially useless. I get mainly the same results. Just nothing that tells me anything. Im 29 and was diagnosed at 13. It's a 40-some% curve. Honestly, at this point I barely pay attention because everything has done nothing to help me so Im at the point where I try to ignore it as much as possible. They gave me a brace when I was younger but it would of been social suicide in sone of my circles >_>. They don't realize what they're asking a young teenager to go through with that shit. Plus it didn't prevent me from doing anything back then so why would I willingly go through that.
