I read the manga from start to finish the past few weeks and I definitely feel like it's lost a bit of its charm. Not enough Saitama, to many other heroes battling it out.

Yeah that was the point. It was drawn officially and made to look that good because it's supposed to be an actual series too. The original was all parody. From the first page, you could tell the new manga was going to be a bit more...serious.
