I'd say the majority of people I know make building wealth a priority in their lives but I personally couldn't care less how many figures I make as long as I can sustain my relatively minimalist lifestyle. people get defensive for some reason when I tell them I don't care about money as long as I'm past the point of being poor/struggling

Nobody wants that to be assumed of them, so they default to the most common ambition. I feel kinda the same way kinda opposite.

I mean the money I save I view as money for supporting my future family and retirement. couldn't give a shit about buying new stuff every year or having more than one car

Yeah, I don't care about money outside of keeping the stuff I have now. Im like a modern day hippy. I just want to laugh and love through life while never taking things too serious. I pull my own weight when around others cause I put pride in that. Plus no one wants to laugh and love with a guy that isn't pulling his weight

I care about money in the sense that I want to one day in the near future not have to worry about money and can essentially do whatever I want to within reason.
