The unemployment rate is at a fifty year low. If you don't like what you get paid, go get another job. The job market is incredibly strong. I work with 20 year olds that make $55k because we work in a real profession. Starbucks barista and McDonalds cashier are not careers. Our parents' generation made more money than us.... because they worked harder.

But these people that bought a house in vancouver for 40k in the 80s, and its 1.5 mil now, and they got by on one salary, they had it good

Note that the youngest millennials are college-aged and may only be working part time, which may skew the median downward.

You should try reading your articles before posting them.

The median isn't affected by outliers. >_>

Not to mention that millennials are anyone born from 1981-1996. College-aged would be 1993-1996, which is only about 20-30% of millennials. The median is the 50th percentile, which would be recent college graduates.

So recent college grads make less than 30k per year.

And are likely 30k or more in debt.
