CHIKARA Tag Prix 2005: Finals time! Superfriends v. Cannon/Claudio. Quack puts on a technical face in peril clinic and then HERO HEEL TURN WHAT A SHOCK. (****) Pretty good promo afterwards!

CHIKARA Remain in Light: lol Smart Mark showed Quack the video as requested. Continuity! Pretty solid promo- I thought he wasn't supposed to be good at those? Amusing promo as well from....Crossbones?... building his Young Lion Cup shot. Kingston/Sweeney commentary booth what did we do to deserve this gift. Hallowicked/Delirious promises to be some sorta something. I am struck by the small crowds and venues- I think my local tiny indy fed draws more people than this (we're hoping to get 500 people for the WM equivalent!), and they're good but not this good >_> I guess everybody starts somewhere and they have grown since then but some of these guys were already names in 2005 I think! Hallowicked over in a good time, thanks to some digeridoo action. (***) Hero/Claudio promo while Cannon wanders around.

Finished up the NewLegacy Rumblethon 2019! Was a good time. Was also eating a lot of my lunch breaks and stuff so now there should be a bit more time for this and other projects.

Higurashi: Man I recently got roped into a committee as a relative newcomer/outsider to DO MY BEST BECAUSE I AM A MAN AND PEOPLE ARE COUNTING ON ME where are my Dessert Fiesta tickets. I'll work on getting Wifebolo to wear the outfit at least. Anyway this is going really nicely and smoothly and we are dodging all of the previous bad ends. It's too early for that to mean anything that isn't particularly horrible! ...Man you can't just tease Cat!Takano like that. And Tomitake is a bigshot guy :o

Disgaea: Did the Felony run, so now it's time to move on woo.

Aria 2-10- That Heartwarming Town and its People...: The other two wonder why Akari makes friends so easily, so they stalk her on her afternoon off and discover that....she's just friendly and approachable. Having watched about five minutes of this show, Wifebolo pointed out that Akari is my mother-in-law. This is a disturbingly accurate observation. Anyway we all see a puppet show and it's nice.

Pokemon: Decided to see if I was ready for Clair. I wasn't, but I got her to bring out Kingdra at least. Why is this gym such a big difficulty spike? Pokemon isn't supposed to be hard, especially not for TWO fights in one game! I wonder if I remembered to save.

HoA: Yilman is a cool antagonist. That's all I've got for ya today.

HoA: well, that went....north, quickly? Not how I expected the hairpin or the Kholoss to come into play, but at least I expected them to be relevant!

Higurashi: Okay so I play an anime-themed browser game, and in that game you can play (and cheat at) mahjong. The best cheat you can use is the "Swallow Switch," so I enjoyed seeing the Tsubame Gaeshi pop up here. (bonus points also for my fate fandom >_>) I had to stop and watch a video because Ryukishi wanted me to see it, lol. "Humans can die from boredom" man was he already planning Umineko at this point? ....This is continuing to go way too well, and the longer that continues the harder I expect it to hurt when the other shoe drops.

MLP 9-10- Going to Seed: It's the great seedlin', Charlie Brown! Poor Big Mac :\ This one was fine, but didn't do much for me.

Went to see Star Trek I in theater last night. Was dated, but fun. Was amusing to keep hearing them talk about Kolinahr.

My friend posted a "what your favorite FF says about you" meme and when I looked up FFT it said "probably likes Trails, or Ys, or something" and I have never been read so hard by that format before.

Trails: Chapter 1 beated. A fun fight, even though there wasn't a whole lot of nuance to it. Olivier and Kloe are joining fulltime and it sounds like we're going to go pick up Tita too! >:D

Sorry, I was away this whole week, but, I'm still kicking!

Uh oh, Daring Do time? Hopefully it's a good one! [Yup, the episode title pretty much spells it out that it's about her!]

Anyways, Going to Seed didn't do much for me from my perspective, and it's probably one of the weakest episodes of the season.

Oh, and by the way, the season finale is confirmed for October 12, 3 episodes in a row, because the breakdown is the finale for episodes #24 & #25, and then the Epilogue episode #26 to follow. Less than 4 weeks left, with episode #22 on September 28, and #23 on October 5.

Also too, looks like there is another Equestria Girls special on the way sometime in the future, so Sunset's Backstage Pass will not be the final one.

HoA: well I have once again started figuring things out but lagged several steps behind! I wonder what happens if you do Duralumin+Atium. I also wonder if Aluminum+Atium would stop the atium from coming back somehow. Electrum is also a potentially interesting thing that could be thrown into the mix here.

CHIKARA Remain in Light: DARKNESS CRABTREE engages in some shenanigans, but he will be facing, uh, the U S APE. Short comedy match- nothing wrong with it but the entrances were funnier. Actually, so was the post-match. I will probably get tired of Crabtree eventually, but not today. (**1/2)

....I have a friend of a friend who looks vaguely like Daizee Haze, and I wouldn't put that outfit past her either. I get the immediate impression that she'll be jobbing to Allison Danger. Daizee is working heel (rudo?) which is apparently new for her, but she's doing alright with it. I'm spoiled by my STARDOM run, but this was a better women's match than what I've come to expect in the west. Daizee over. (***)

FIST (Icarus/Akuma) v. Men at Work, which is still not the WCW one, but at least they have Mister Zero. ....FIST is coming out to what sounds like an anime OP. Kingston dislikes everybody in the match lol. Bit slow to start but both face teams start getting feistier over time. Akuma kicks Storm in the chest a few times, but it's 2005 so nobody chants "yes." Nobody repeats "ONE FALLLLLL!" either. Solid match but it goes broadway. (***)

YLC Contendership tournament: Rorshach v. Niles Young. Still weirds me out that it's both a tournament and a regular title....wait wasn't Ruckus supposed to get the title shot for teaming with Jigsaw? Good match but I wasn't in the right mood for it at this point. (***) Rorshach wins but then throws a cheap shot!

Remain in Light: SWEENEY and Mano Metallico are defeated by Knight Eye and tease dissension. Sweeney still good. (***) Satochi has no music, but beats Crossbones to face Rorshach to face Jigsaw. I'm entertained at Crossbones' running commentary. Kingston spends more time talking about Satochi's abs than King with puppies. (**1/2)

Higurashi: Ah, there we go! Now it's a board.

Smash: Gettin' stuck on Geno, but I am close enough to beating him that I am not gonna resort to easy mode....yet. My last attempt I had him in a probably lethal Final Smash when time ran out :\

Disgaea: Chapter 3 beated. Also managed to make a Gunner, Majin, and Magic Knight, although I'll need to restock my bribe arsenal before I can really go for...I think it's Beastmaster.

Alloy of Law: Suddenly, cowboys! Wax and Lessie are a fun couple and I'm looking forward t- oh.

Order of the Stick: We're fighting technicalities with technicalities and it's pretty great. Pretty good pausing point, too. ....And now it is time to pick a new one, hmmm.

Well, Wifebolo has been on a Star Trek kick, and it's the first thing on my list, and it actually has the most webcomic votes at the moment!

Ensign Mary Sue Must Die: This should be a good time. I think opening it up to other universes is gonna be fun, but I was expecting a Star Trek parody and I feel like they discarded that a bit quickly.

Aria 2-11- That Precious Sparkle...: Akari gets her first ever specific request- a delivery of Neo-Venezian glass, because Akari is notably slow. (and therefore gentle) We have a close call with a sleeping gondolier, and get to talk to an apprentice about the history of Neo-Venezian glassblowing. The tradition of Venecian glass died out briefly and was resurrected here, but because of that lapse, folks don't respect the shop as much, and the apprentice is defensive about it. But, he is quickly charmed by Akari and develops a crush as we deliver the glass. Felt like this one had a bit more to it than most.

Les Mis: Done with Waterloo now that we have properly introduced Thenardier!

LP MGS4 11-2: Drebin coming to our rescue seems odd.

Alloy of Law: Wane has an Aussie accent I guess? Calling it now: this Meresy is either the love interest for one of 'em, or part of the Vanishers, or both. (Fake edit: I would like to go on record as having called this before it started getting obvious) I appreciate a good sassy butler, even if I have no idea how to spell his name. I'm going the Stargate route and going with Teal'm until proven otherwise.

Higurashi: well this sucks

MLP 9-11- Student Counsel: TRIXIE. And that one poor guy trying to get in the door lol. Maud! Sunburst! Maud's boyfriend! Another dude! COCKATRICE BUDDY! This was a good study in setting boundaries I think, and got some good secondary character time in.

Pokemon: Back to the grind. I'm not loving the area south of town for grinding, so let's check out the cave. ....With Wobbuffets, selfdestrutors, zubats, and Magikarp, it might even be worse. Plus it's one way and I had to swap out my Fly-er for my Flash-er so getting back was kinda a pain. It would be silly to endure the Game Corner marathon and give up here but dang if that isn't starting to get tempting. I have Gensou Wanderer and Fate/Extella calling my name....and Golf Story and FE:3 Houses and Goose Game and Link's Awakening look like good purchases.........

Well we have a few extra spots on the rotation right now, but that's just the way things go. With no new Smash or Pony announced and Higurashi just recently dropping, it's not like anything else is gonna hop the line in the forseeabl-

When The Ciconia Cry: First impression: hecking expensive. Second impression: The artwork and effects and stuff have gotten better! But they are still the same style, so that's nice. Opening the betting with 90% odds that Kuropeko or whatever turns heel, and 60% that there are some sorta Miyao gender shenanigans. Setting is not my first choice, but I could get into it. I really like the 60s Batman-style wipes in the promotional video segment, lol. We got some trollfaces and a skyscraper jump in even before the opening credits! And now we're introducing all the contestants and I am pretty sure I am going to like most of them a lot. Already missing Umineko's TIPS screen to help keep track of all these folks. It has not wasted any time getting preachy, but it's an interesting topic so I'll let it slide. Also geeze he eviscerated the US with the "one-bit" discussion.

AoL: Teal'm noooo :( Also I feel like the "but I LIKE being a girly girl TOO" angle is starting to get played out after going straight from Shallan to Vin to Maresie.....and I tend to like those types of characters.
