It's...fine. I'm in a wierd place with it because it wasn't BAD, but I really don't feel like I got anything out of watching it at all. I see some people are saying "as good or better than Wonder Woman", which is crazy to me, because this is so by the numbers and generic. Probably the SAFEST superhero movie in a while.

The most entertaining thing about the movie was me and my roomate having no idea Willem Dafoe was in it, and upon realization making Green Goblin jokes whenever he was on screen.

If you haven't seen spiderverse there is no excuse for not seeing that first.

Wait, wait, Wonder Woman wasn't by the numbers and generic? I ask this as someone who genuinely enjoyed it.

Aquaman is not mindblowing or anything when it come to plot, but the performances range from good to great and the visual aspects of the movie are absolutely top notch (the cinematography in particular really stands out as phenomenal).

Feels like initial reaction was "oh my god best DC movie EVERRR" but now it's a more tame "it was good, nothing special though"

I mean, whether or not you believe it deserves to be placed beside or even above Wonder Woman, it still shares the distinction of being miles above the rest of the DCEU.

Also, this is definitely a movie that benefits greatly from being seen in theaters, in 3D, if you're into that.

Other problems.

It's like 40 minutes too long.

The chemistry between Aquaman and Mera is....hilarious? It's like these actors have never met.

Honestly though I'm not saying it's BAD. Just forgettable.
