I'm not a primate though Are you sure? By modern biological classifications humans are considered apes, and apes are considered primates. Therefore, humans are primates. But what's your reasoning here? --- Ignorance is a choice https://imgtc.com/i/7UnK3hx.jpg ... Copied to Clipboard!

We ARE primates. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hominidae The Hominidae (/hmndi/), whose members are known as great apes[note 1] or hominids, are a taxonomic family of primates that includes eight extant species in four genera: Pongo, the Bornean, Sumatran and Tapanuli orangutan; Gorilla, the eastern and western gorilla; Pan, the common chimpanzee and the bonobo; and Homo, which includes modern humans and its extinct relatives (e.g., the Neanderthal), and ancestors, such as Homo erectus.[1] --- A hero's role is one that cannot be forsaken, Caring for those with hearts that are breaking. ... The confusion here seems to center on the word 'primate' itself, which is just a name for a subcategory of animals under the family of mammals.
The designation 'primate' includes several subcategories of animals and is at least one stage removed from the category of species, which is where we start describing specific animals like humans, or orangutans, or mandrills. And evolution does describe genetic change over a significant time span. But just because members of a particular species evolve, doesn't mean that other members of that species won't go on living and/or potentially evolving parallel to the newly genetically divergent species. It's why we want to be specific with our language when we say, for example, that 'humans and other other great apes share a common genetic ancestor' instead of 'humans came from X.' --- Ignorance is a choice https://imgtc.com/i/7UnK3hx.jpg ...
