Every fab person in California and New York in the late 60s, thru the 70s and into the early 80s, was religiously drinking TaB soda. When medical studies pointed to TaB's sweetener, saccharin, as a cancer risk, the soda went into decline and Coca-Cola introduced Diet Coke to replace it. Never once was there an outcry from the people to demand that TaB be brought back. No "legalize" style movement to coerce greedy politicians or corporate execs to ignore the research and continue promoting the product.

People moved on. They realized that they did not need TaB to live a happy and successful life. Yet with cannabis, we have a much different outcome. Those who use it, can't live without it. They require it to be happy and successful, to cope with REAL life. Though it is illegal. They it is proven to have negative medical and societal effects, they demand that it be given to them. Their entire life revolves around it, so much so, that they break the laws and march on the streets demanding that they can consume it any time, any where, without molestation by the Authorities. In reality, they are addicts.

I can't drive around town, walk out of a business, go to a venue, ride a bike thru the neighborhood, take a walk or stand n my yard without catching the pungent stench of your wretched addiction. It is a stench that you can't get away from and the organic molecules stay active in your nasal passages long after exposure. I just so happen to be allergic to it. One tiny whiff and I quickly get a pounding ear ache, followed by nausea and a sever sinus headache. There is one thing else that it does. The drug alters my mood to one of anger. The more I am exposed, the more enraged I become. Heaven help the vaping reefer hound that crosses my path at that point. I can't be held responsible for the outcome.

I mean, you're right that its negative health effects are conveniently glossed over and its positive health effects greatly exaggerated. But the stuff about your allergy just makes you sound like a baby

What they don't tell you is how much of that "tax revenue" is consumed by addiction rehab, prevention of minors, the increased adjudication of said minors and the burden of increase vehicular accidents, deaths, increased auto insurance, lower employee production, increased Workers Compensation, dependency on other drugs, increased Cartel activity, marked increase on the trafficking of heavier drugs and the exodus of businesses and good Families from the "legalize" States.
