If I remember correctly some reviews kind of crapped on them for saying they tried to emulate some of the prince of persia games that were coming out around the same time, but they looked decent to me.

I loved them at the time but I recently tried replaying them and they are REALLY hard and clunky. I couldn't beat the cave troll. He takes a million hits and you die in just a couple. It seemed so smooth and advanced at the time, but I'm afraid they didn't age well.

The GBA games of TTT and ROTK were great Diablo clones too, had so much fun playing them and finishing almost all character play throughs.

Technically The Two Towers was the first one when EA had the film license.

Diablo + Lord of the Rings IP

Seemed like such a simple yet genius concept looking back at it now.
