Nope, back then women did not vote, they did not have serious careers, they were the responsibility of their fathers and then their husbands. As a result their was a collective sense of responsibility men shared to protect women, after all if women were in danger it could reasonably be considered the failing of men that made it so.

Today if the same thing happened its a completely different dynamic, women vote for the overnment we have that puts the laws in place, women are elected officials women, they are mens co workers and bossrs, women and men are equal. Under this societal setup a man has absolutely no responsibility for the safety of women that is distinct from his responsibility to another man. On the Titanic nearly every woman that found herself on that ship was following the direction of some man in her life.

Children do however still take precedence because they still lack self determination.

First come first serve to get on that life raft these days.

Women go on the boat because they make more babies bro. It's not about their rights. Don't need more men to make more babies.

BTW, you guys know Canada only accepts women, child, and family refugees? They don't take single men. Too dangerous.
