I don't think older guys should be going after 17 year olds, but not because I feel like they are causing any damage or harm to anyone else if they do....it's because it just usually doesn't work out, and people don't like the sight of it.

That's fine. I've been there, too. Really it was more or less just a general suggestion, not a passing of judgment at all. And I was talking more about like 30+ year olds going after girls in high school. Mainly I was just trying to say it's not worth the extra bullshit of dealing with the age difference and everyone's reaction to it.

If it happens naturally or the girl likes you first I don't see a problem with it. But I wouldn't pursue someone 18-19. That's effort I would rather use on someone older. I was part of a college club when I was 23-25, with a ton of members and a couple of cute freshmen were interested in me and I'm a guy so I'm not gonna say no. They were just hookups. Relationships with people that young would be annoying.

First off, women who are 23+ years old are way way more likely to be married or have kids than women who are 18-22. So there is more opportunity in the younger range.

Also, it could be your friend's preferences rather than the preferences of women 23+.
