I've just noted in my personal experience conservatives tend to not make a big fuss unless they feel threatened. Most of my family is conservatives and they only talk heavily about it behind closed doors I never hear about politics out in public. From them or strangers. I get the feeling as long as they feel most people around them agree they don't feel the need to publicly display their opinions. The rebel flag is different. For some it has racist intentions and for others its just "southern pride" which isn't exactly political. Liberals though, wherever I go I seem to find one who is very loud about their opinions. IDK maybe it's just something where I live. Most people I know are raised to believe talking about sex politics and religion publicly is considerd rude.
