I liked that game a lot but I didn't like stopping the game to do stuff.

Mass Effect Andromeda basically followed the same blue print-- lots of little side quests/fetch quests in big ass environments that maximized the exploration factor but also padded the length.

DA:I is kind of unique in that it had a single-player MMO sandbox feel, but the pacing is definitely awkward. You can skip certain zones entirely if you just play the main story line, but if you delve into all the game's content, you over level fairly quickly.
In terms of depthness of lore, Witcher 3 is a good option. Open-world, really story driven, the side-quests are actually engaging for the most part. If you're just looking for a fantasy setting action RPG, Dragon's Dogma can scratch that itch. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
