it looks terrible but i'd imagine it's treatable, effectively even by virtue of its visibility
i'd say sarcoptes is worse as far as parasites go though because you can't see them, they're highly infectious, they're increasingly resistant to modern medication due to frequent mutation, research is underfunded, they're often misdiagnosed, and they make their hosts' lives a living hell --- ...
