I got the T460, immediately upgraded my harddrive to a 500gb SSD I bought online and upgraded the ram to 16gb. I've never reformated my drive, laptop has been running strong with no technical issues whatsoever. The only thing I want for it is a new external battery that I can exchange, preferably the larger one, so that if I go out with my laptop, I never need to even plug it in. I've previously had Acer, Asus, Dell, and HP and they've all broken down after about 2 years. I tried a macbook and I couldn't stand it. PC for life. But the keyboard layout is stupid as hell, and she's always running into problems with it. Next laptop she gets is gonna be a thinkpad with after-market upgrades like mine. Reinstall Windows doesn't do anything because the firmware will just reinject the malware into the windows installation again.
