The only game I've played that is substantially better on X1X is RDR2. tbh besides exclusives(ill admit PS4 is better there) X1 is better for gamers i mean hell, they let fuckin KODI on the store, knowing full well what everyone will use it for. but besides that, I got the X and MS gave me 3 months of gold for $10, $1 gamepass (even though I've already subbed to it several times) and i got the ea access monthly for $5. so for $17 i get online multiplayer, the games with gold to keep permanently, over 100+ games in game pass, and titles like Battlefront 2, Battlefield 1, etc.. It would be better if I hadn't played most of the games offered already, being a hardcore gamer and all, but bang for buck i think the xbox one is taking the cake here. Horizon Zero Dawn on Pro in particular looks better than, well, basically any other game. The multiplats are always better on X, but they never seem to actually push the visual envelope because developers are scaling to four different systems. They'll look marginally sharper than Pro at best. HZD, Forza Horizon 4, God of War and Halo 5 are really the only true "showcase" games. Tomb Raider and others will look slightly "better" but they won't exactly make you go "holy shit I'm glad I paid a premium" Microsoft boasts about impressive X1X enhancements for backwards compatible games but seems to have no interest whatsoever in releasing a new game with legit X1X enhancements. So yeah, the hardware is amazing. Just don't expect MS to actually develop anything new and meaningful for it. Their major new efforts so far have been Sea of Thieves (which is boring beyond belief) and FH4 which looks and runs incredible. Framerate and response time's fine though so it doesn't bother me so much.
