Raimi movies were the best ones

while it had it's flaws, the Amazing movies are closer to the comics than the Raimi movies were.

For anyone whose curious what the reference is

In the beginning montage, we see the train stopping scene, the part where he's eating in a restaurant but gets his spidey powers back just in time, except in this version he punches the train back, and the infamous dance scene, complete with the same song, also the upside down kiss scene but with spider-man on the ground and the girl hanging from the web

for one thing, Spider-Man actually makes good quips in battle. he never did that in the Raimi movies

also the ending to the Amazing 2 is right out of the comics.

yes it is. if you don't understand the ending to AMazing 2, you obviously don't read comics. it's one of the most famous events in Spider-Man history

It's literally not right out of the comics. It's in some clock tower, it's with a weird Harry Osborn mutant goblin, the entire motivation is different.

The only thing similar is that Gwen dies.

Yeah but it's so bad it's good, and the first one, for whatever reason is super rewatchable for me.

I've seen all of them except homecoming, and spiderverse

No, no they were not. The Raimi movies were super accurate to the silver age, other than the too quiet spidey and the more fleshed out villains.

The amazing movies were just crap. They had some things done better, but most of it was way worse.

Holland is amazing, and the closest to the comics, though.

Homecoming is fantastic, well worth watching.

Also, while 3 sucked, it had imo the best scene in the Trilogy with Sandmans rebirth.

Homecoming is among the better ones. One of the best depictions of high school ever in film, a great lead, and the villain is someone you can actually sympathize with, while still being ruthless and terrifying because he's just trying to provide for his family.

They used to all reliably come to Netflix and that's how I watched most of them

But their starting to phase that out for Disney+, I'd have to go out of my way to watch it basically
