I wouldn't say quit just yet, but it couldn't hurt to apply elsewhere and line something up in case you do end up getting axed.

That was of the reason why my boss backed off, he thought I would take the written reprimand lying down but I had a paper trail to fall back on. Drpooplol posted... What's the point of a paper trail? They can fire you for any reason or no reason at all unless it would violate a protected class. And don't quit. Then you don't get unemployment. Yeah but quitting and looking for a new job is a whole lot easier than getting fired and having to explain it during interviews. Damn_Underscore posted... Well if you quit they say it's harder to find a job when unemployed so it is a double edged sword. I've tried job hunting while employed and it's very difficult, there are only so many half days you can, only so many times you can step away from your desk to take a 20 minute headhunter phone call.
