I love all 4. I could maybe lose the lettuce, if I had to. Especially if it's iceberg. But I like loading my sandwiches with crunchy veggies.

I'm down with ketchup, but tomato slices are a no-no. I could probably tolerate lettuce, but I always pick it off anyway. Onions and pickles are A-OK in my book.

Honestly, probably tomato. Sometimes tomatoes are fucking great on a burger, but I have to be in the mood for it, and it has to be the right kind of tomato.

Lettuce is only good when it's the good dark green parts of the Romaine. Or stick with spinach.
Tomato can be really gross if it's crap quality i.e. very white around the edges and semi translucent.
Onions are either sweet and really really good or are damn potent and ruin the taste of everything else on a burger including the meat itself.

Pickles all the way though.

Mayo though. That on a burger is the absolute worst. Just thinking of it's look and taste on a burger is nauseating me as I type this no joke.

Pickles are the most important burger topping, followed by onions (preferably white, caramelized or not), then lettuce (preferably whole leaf).

Tomato slices don't so much as enter the same room as the burger.

I literally cant think of one instance where a tomato slice really added anything to my burger. I dont dislike tomatoes on a burger, but theyre just kind of... there. They make the burger messier too.

Tomatoes, but only because most restaurants position the tomato in such a way that it makes the whole burger slide away from the bun when you bite into it. Love the way it tastes with a burger.

If you can't have all 4 on your burger, you're really missing out.

Tomatoes you can at least take off fairly easy. Pickles soak into the bun and ruin the whole thing.
