Current Events > Thinking of getting an X1X, PS4 Pro, and 4k TV

The 4k TV would be a christmas gift, the ps4 is overdue since i can only remote play on my current one, and the X1X because the power of memes i guess.. any input guys? Or should i just downgrade to the 1S and slim?

PS4 Pro and Xbox One X might be overkill. There wouldn't be any reason to buy third party games on the Pro right? So that just leaves a few exclusives and Sony exclusives generally still look great in 1080p. I suppose if VR is a factor too.

When it comes to 4k content the Xbox One X is the better purchase overall.

But hey if you're willing to spend it why not?

I have a gaming laptop but honestly it's not very strong, 1050Ti and i5-8300h cpu so the next cycle of AAA games i won't be hitting 60 fps most likely. I was thinking of building a gaming PC with my tax refund(I got 1100 last year and i don't think i actually worked the full year plus i wasn't making much, now i'm making almost double so i'm expecting around 1600-1700)

I don't really have any other bills to pay, so i mean if i REALLY wanted to i could buy an X1X or a PS4 pro every paycheck but for the most part it's kept in check. I have a solid library of games on the PS4 already but from what I hear, the Xbox is starting to fall behind, outputting RDR2 in less than 1080p and having slowdowns in games so i wanted an X since they're on sale for the same price as the PS4 pro.

I agree though the PS4 Pro might be overkill, i've played all the exclusives and it's moreso at this point of just getting a fully functional ps4 again but from what I hear, some of the exclusives look AMAZING on the pro

Not worth buying one at all right now tbh. New consoles are more than likely coming out in 2020...and it sounds like MS, at least, might be learning and is considering backward compatibility.

I have both Pro and X. X is a much better console but Pro has a much better library.
