I mean, I put in plenty of effort the first week, but not much after that. I suppose part of the problem is I don't have any friends. Come to think of it, my home WiFi connection isn't working either.

I usually only used it once or twice a week. Mostly for taking photographs of things. There must be more you can use a smart phone for than this. People I speak to insist they have dozens of uses for it.

No, I'm in my 30s. But I can't find many uses for it.

Ah, I remember back in the day, when I had friends to talk to, and stuff to do. I used my old Nokia phone quite a lot, then.

What do you mean...?

Whenever you're not home and you're bored you should be looking at it. Also podcasts.

Looking at it? Looking at what, exactly? There's not really much to do on it, especially if I'm not within range of a WiFi connection. It escapes me how people I know use their phone every few minutes.

Uh if you're bored you play games like candy crush. You can browse reddit. It doesn't use much data. Also PODCASTS!!!! And gps.

The thing is, most of the stuff people seem to do largely on their phones, I do on my PC. It's much, much better. The screen is far larger, there's a querty keyboard (I'm still not quite used to virtual keyboards), and a mouse.

It was partly so people who ran local places could call me for a Christmas job, but also because it felt so strange, having gone a couple of years without a phone, and not ever having owned a smart phone. These days, if you don't have a smart phone, you're not considered a real person.

I might still be happy about buying it. I might get several years' use out of it, and really learn how to make the most of it. Who knows, in the January I might suddenly have lots of new friends...for no reason.
