I used to have the first one and played the hell out of it. It's kinda basic though compared to later games in the series. you can't even date in the first one. I never played GBC2 or 3 so I don;t know about those

As an aside: is the 3DS version of Minecraft decent? I don't typically use mods and if I did I'd just play the PC version... but it can't be as bad as the mobile... that would seem impossible.
