day 1 waited around in a big room with everybody else, get called to go upstairs and wait in a hallway and a room, go to the courtroom and get informed about the case and if there are any people who cant do the case for whatever reasons they may or may not get excused. then people get excused then we got slimmed down from the original group of 50 to like 25 then we got questioned by the judge in front of everybody and couldnt hide anything. i got dismissed then went downstairs to the big room and got called again on day 3 and the same thing happened and then i got dismissed. so basically 3 days of sitting and waiting and seeing people get disrespected and embarrassed by one judge. its a pretty stupid experience.

2. that i dont know, either way in the US its getting close to 1% in that a person can get out of jury duty without going down to the courthouse at least once. nearly everybody will eventually have to show up in person and then whatever happens happens. if a person avoids the letters in the mail theyll eventually get 1 letter registered and certified to show up and speak to a judge as to why theyve been ignoring the notices and then he/she will give you a date to show up. continue to ignore the letters and youll get a bench warrant issued to you.
