Muhamad Ali was incredibly famous, and I think one poll concluded he was loved by 99% of people who knew of him.

Of course fame is not measured only by likability.

I doubt anyone in the first world does not know Trump at this point, but I wonder if his fame exceeds the past few presidents.

Is LeBron James that famous? I couldnt even name the most famous actor- maybe Leo? But I believe the last true famous actor was maybe someone like Tom Hanks.

Hollywood is a bit more diverse these days and less prone to relying on those superstars but I assume many of the top actors are still pretty famous. Particularly the ones in the MCU which people seem to love across the world.

(And this is for currently alive people- not Jesus/Muhammad/Buddha/etc.)
