Current Events > anybody here ever get problems from wearing their contact lenses for too long?

i don't mean in one wear, but using your weeklies for more than a week's worth of wears, for instance

anyway, i've been using the same pair of monthlies for over a year now (don't wear them everyday, though), and i seem to be doing fine, but idk how stupid a habit this is and whether i should stop or not

Is it because you can't fall asleep watching TV without them?

I wore a yearly pair for like 5 years. They started to irritate my eyes then. Generally, your eyes will let you know when they've had enough.

Yes, i got an ulcer on my eye and it was EXTREMELY painful. Steroid drops cleared in up finally. Now i take my contacts out every night.

No
I didn't sleep in them for the most part and used proper maintenance. I just kept using them for like 5x the amount you should

No

I keep my every 2 months contacts for about a year.
