Black/White are grossly underappreciated. It was also the last time I feel Game Freak actually tried before they started phoning it in (well, much moreso than before).

Black and White felt like a series reboot in a lot of ways. Better visuals, totally different urban setting, morally ambiguous villains, no previous Pokemon until post-game.

To make sure the balls that are certified theirs (like with all the tools you have in the modern games like changing abilities and bottle caps for perfect IVs you can't change them into cooler balls even if you wanted to) isn't made out of shit material.

I mean, humanity in general is about that. We made tools and we invented husbandry. Two of the main reasons our species rose above all others. Pokemon is the sanitized, G-rated version of that. It's not some twisted take on a peaceful reality where that doesn't happen.

They do? Pokedex entries cover predator and prey relationships, even if the anime and other media sources are getting lighter on the wild aspect.

Actually, for the first time you can witness it in Pokemon Sun/Moon. Sometimes a Toxapex will show up if you encounter a Corsola and fucking murder that bitch cold. Same with Carbink getting rekt by Sableye.

Also, Zangoose and Seviper literally exist to kill the shit out of each other.
