I already have a desktop. My grandparents found out I have to travel for work and they decided to ask me if I wanted a laptop to play games with while I'm in a hotel. They're willing to spend up to 2 grand as a Christmas present. I trust MSI and Asus more than other brands, but I'm open to anything if it's trustworthy. I don't really care about weight, temperature is a big deal though. I would prefer a 17 inch screen because I'm a size queen. --- There are some things where I just bypass critical thinking. - ROD ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'd consider upgrading the SSD so you can run everything off it rather than needing an HDD alongside it, but aside from that, yep, pretty solid. :) The display is particularly impressive.
I will note the GTX 1060 variant is about $300 cheaper, and a 1060 is still pretty damn solid. In terms of brands, I'd say I trust Dell the most, but Asus aren't bad in my experience. --- https://imgtc.com/i/0mboxsZ.png <-- Tiamat is best babe, if you disagree you're objectively wrong. https://tinyurl.com/dtlamulana2 <-- La-Mulana 2 LP ...
