Obviously, this topic is for anyone who pursued college and took on student debt. I am curious, how much is your student debt and what has your life been like post college? In other words, did you land your dream job? Are you having issues paying off your debt? How much have your gotten your debt down to? Did your degree just become a piece of paper? Was college and student loans a bad idea for you?

etc.

I don't have any student debt, but I am about to get a transfer degree in computer science which would leave me with the choice of pursuing a bachelors or not. At the moment, I don't think I will, not sure if that would be worth it. I figure I could just keep the associates, build a portfolio, stay debt-free, etc.

On a side note, I've read that the student debt nation-wide sums up to around 1.5 trillion dollars, crazy.

I had 40 to 50k in student loans when I graduated 4 years ago, I just finished paying it off earlier this year.

I make pretty OK money now, working for a company that requires a degree to get in, but not specifically the one that I have.

Sounds pretty decent compared to what I've read online.

Most people are around 30k or higher from what I've read.

$0 debt.

Original degree was useless but my Post Grad has gotten me several jobs.

Thinking of going to Uni again in a couple years.

I had ~12.5k debt when I graduated 1 year ago. I'm making a living in my field (music), I have a significant chunk of it paid off, and I enjoy what I'm doing.

the physical piece of paper itself isn't really the important part of a music degree though. the value, for me, was in the four years of intensive focus I was able to put on music to get better, gain experience, and make connections.

It was good for me. I took steps to decrease the amount of loans and I luckily had some scholarships and grants that helped a lot
