Back when I was addict. I feel like its the difficulty and the high skill ceiling that draws you in.

You want to constantly get better. When you hear that perfect 'ping' and your shot lands beautifully, where you want. Its great satisfaction.

But I live in England, got sick of the shitty weather. Was just grown men with sticks playing in the mud. Hated having to wash everything afterwards.

I'll go to the driving range a few times a year. But I wont join an expensive membership that I'll have to go like 5 times a week to get my moneys worth.

I love golfing, even if I'm not very good at it. Like Cobra said, the feeling of nailing a shot perfectly is fucking top.

There's a cheapo golf course near here that I can go to. But I gotta wait for spring again now.

I've never gone real golfing, but I despise mini golfing. It's boring to play, and it's even more boring to keep score.

It's easier to play, faster, less expensive, and there's no physical exertion when it's a video game. That said, if given the chance to play at a course for free, I'd prefer the real game. It's so fun when you make a great shot. Like I was at this par 3 place and I chipped it in from about 30-40 feet away with my 2nd shot. It was so cool. I felt great all day even though it was the only hole I shot under par.

I used to enjoy golfing when I was in school and my dad had his own little course. Id work out there all day, then play a round when I knocked off. I had gotten fairly decent.

The ease of entry is true for all sports games, though.

Golf is fun. Just like team sports, although it's not easy to gather a group of people for some quick impromptu playing. You're either joining a rec league or paying to use a course.
