They want member nations to sign a commitment to pass legislation to declare mass migration a human right and expand the definition of hate speech to include criticism of migration. The stated purpose being to make it impossible to voice criticism of migration without legal penalty and to enable state governments to shut down media outlets that provide a platform to those criticisms.

I appreciate the reassurance. I have nothing against immigration in general, but making criticism of anything illegal--especially when it is a basic political issue--is crazy. Does anyone have a non-Youtube source for this? I can't find any mention of it on any major news sites.

In this case, they're talking about mass migration, like the millions of migrants and refugees flooding into Europe, and criminalizing criticism of that.

Common criticism of mass migration, particularly from poor regions with questionable human rights values, is that it brings with it increased crime and strain on social safety net services. As well as hurting the employment prospects of your poorer citizens.

There is also the concern of importing the questionable traditions, beliefs, and social mores of those people and normalizing them.

Not to mention other concerns regarding political tensions between ethnic groups.

It would be more comprehensive to say the UN wants its member states to sign a resolution to each criminalize it. So far, I think only the US, Australia, and Hungary have voiced opposition to the resolution. But I only watched the first 6 minutes or so of the video.

Taking in more people than your resources and people can support is immoral. If the people don't want it, then the leadership needs to bow to the people's will. Not to their own. End of story. If some European population doesn't want to be inundated with migrants, legal or illegal, it is their right to close down their borders.

And if the majority decides to allow it, that is also their right.

I live in Chicago so no. And even if I did I wouldn't let my personal experiences change what is true about the population at a broader level, because that would be completely silly.

The majority of conservatives are not against "brown people coming to America" or whatever other reductive horse shit the left has come up with.
