I saw translation planned (and well, there's english subtitles in video) but nothing about it being same-time release
I think my tastes have kind of shifted over the years and I'm not sure I'd want to read this and deal with r07's really drawn-out writing/plot direction but it's pretty cool the amount of attention he's getting compared to where he started with random doujin games --- THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!! well currently I'm reading kotonoha amrilato and it's pretty good. before that I went through a bunch of other various VNs but haven't been super thrilled by one in a while.
in general I tend to look for / like stuff that uses the medium in an interesting way, does unusual things with story structure, or just takes bizarre risks that wouldn't fly in most stories. R07 definitely fits this a little (umineko makes use of some notions of how VNs work in setting up its trickery, for example) but I've also just grown weary of stories/scenes that take way longer than they really need to, or stories with very unnecessary scenes just thrown in here and there later in the story, and he's super guilty of both of those. the most recent VN I really liked was the re;lord trilogy but it was almost a year ago when I read that :/ --- THIS IS WHAT I HATE A BOUT EVREY WEBSITE!!
