I watched a stream for about 10 seconds and was instantly bored out of my mind. I don't think TCGs on the PC are for me.

It looks interesting, but everything I've heard about its monetization is worrisome. TCGs are generally a huge money sink to begin with, and this one doesn't look promising in that regard.

I bought it, even though i hate their take on how its b2p only.

IMO its not that good. I prefer hearthstone, magic arena, faeria and possibly even gwent.

With that said it is growing a little on me. It is definitely a lot more complex than any of the other games i listed.

I can see it sort of settling into a spot where i hardly play it except to spend my money from selling the steam trading cards to buy packs of the artifact cards lol ironically enough.

Its definitely grown on me. I would say it took about 5-10 hours before I really started to like it.

My main gripes at this point is the buy phase should have all the basic treasures available for everyone instead of randomized.

Then just a few issues with some of the cards. For example a card that makes a coin flip on whether any given creature dies or not is just dumb.

definitely dont blame you for that smart mentality, I had the same mindset, but im a sucker for Card games.

I will say I do believe Artifact is the best game out right now if you enjoy drafting tournaments
