Did anyone else pick this up on Xbox or PS4? Disc install = 238.77 MB and Network install = 42.10 GB. Couldn't figure out why it was taking so long to install from the disc. And I guess that's because it isn't. Why would they do this?

Also, Crash came with two bonus levels. Was that just the standard edition? I would have thought Spyro might have something similar but the case doesn't say anything while the top of the insert on Crash specifically states "2 bonus levels".

Yes, they're standard for all non-initial release version of the game, but they didn't originally come with the initial PS4 version; they were free DLC, as I recall.

I have the Xbox version of both Crash and Spyro. Crash says it has two bonus levels, Spyro does not. Neither games are launch editions. I bought them late (Spyro just today). Was it only the PS version of Spyro that got the bonus levels? Sorry for misunderstanding.

Fun note that in the top corner of Spyro it says Xbox One X Enhanced. Unsure if that's standard on all games played on the 1X.

Activision doesn't do anything right and the fact half the game isn't on disc is a sticking point for many. I never played Spyro and would be interested, but I either need to find the originals or a used copy of this.

Or, being the greedbags they are, Act will throw out a GOTY version 2 months from now.

Yeah, I'm being forced to scroll through a license agreement, actually. I have to press RB until I get to the bottom before the game will even start (buttons are B for decline, and LB/RB for up/down). It's saying to not impersonate an Activision employee and don't be racist to other people while using the game. I don't even know how that's possible since it's a SP game. It writes, in English, "If you you are a resident of Japan..." How can the majority of Japan legally accept these terms considering they can't even read them? It also states that if you wish to start an action against Activision, you can't do it as a class. You can only sue them individually. Which prevents fifteen people from joining the same action and instead would create fifteen individual cases against Acitivision, which is easier for them to win.

What has happened to gaming?

Edit: There's a clause in here that says you can opt-out of the class-action waiver and the arbitration if you send via snail-mail a letter within thirty days of purchase saying you wish to do so.

To rush the product out. The first and third game wasn't ready when the game went to print so they sent it off anyway with parts of the games on disc and then had folk download the rest. All that's on that disc is the first game and a bit of the second and third hence the large download. Only Activision could fuck up what was basically a cash cow like this. I've not bought it yet for that reason.

As already said Crash got two free DLC levels that later got added to the retail version of the game thus the "bonus levels". They are also still free on PSN/Xbox. Spyro has no bonus levels or DLC yet.

Ah. Originally they were DLC and got added to the disc later. Got it.

And that's pretty bad news about Spyro. They already pushed it back once. In my copy of Crash, it has an ad for Spyro with the Spetember release date. I guess they couldn't keep pushing Spyro back.

Basically yeah although they could have still delayed it by a few weeks. Still it is what it is.

I think that sometimes post-deadline companies get fined by MS and Sony and this is why some things are rushed out. At least from what I've heard in the past.

@DPsx7
Well the game is actually pretty good so far and I recommend playing any version of it you can, really. It isn't one of those games that's only good as a kid.

I think it's better to delay than release an unfinished game and have that 'stain'. Surely many of us are having second thoughts about buying this.

Can't say I've heard about companies getting sued for missing a deadline. Usually the rush is to hit a holiday or match a movie/toy release.

As a fan of Insomniac and platformers I want to try this. Had anyone else published the remake I'd likely have it already.

My only problem is the same as my argument for never purchasing digital - will I always be able to play this game, or now that only 1/3 of it (game-wise, according to other users here, but data-wise, only a few percent of the content is actually on the disc) will it one day be unplayable because Activision sells rights and the purchaser has the download removed from servers?

This DLC BS needs to stop. Laws need to be created that a game cannot release unfinished, and untested and buggy.

Just found these links, might be worth a read.
