Almost everywhere else that isn't neoGAF is on board with the idea of lax moderations and limited involvement in the natural flow of discussion with user chastizing typically being the primary incentive for behaving. You know, like all those discussions people have in real life without moderators standing over them blowing the whistle constantly. No other site I frequent has such intricate rules for what is and isn't a violation. Hell, only recently could we even swear. "But if we don't hover over everyone's shoulder and police each argument the site would be total anarchy" despite blatant proof to the contrary. Every other site takes the stance that "unless it's way out there, like rants filled with slurs and posts with gore, then leave it alone".
