Well, that was kinda frustrating. Thanos could be foiled multiple times but dont because of the heroes are dumfucks.

The visuals look amazing, teh fights are amazing, but as per usual with most superhero stuff, i just wanna yell "why the fuck do they sabotage their own success?"

Story structure wise, i do find it kinda amusing that thanos is the one who gone trough the hero's journey, and triumph in the end.

It is also very satisfying how the movie give balance of screentime (as it should be) for each POV. This is one of the best crossover thing with such huge cast that feel like everyone has their spotlight. Not even just as a group, individually too.

Yeah, despite the frustration (that people who like superhero stuff should learn to tolerate) it is a greay movie. Probably one of the best in MCU.

Is ant man and a wasp good or skip? I liked the first ant man, but it is middle tier in my MCU rating.

Yeah, it kind of blew my mind the first time somebody pointed out that Thanos is basically the protagonist of the movie.

Yeah, you'll probably feel the same way about AMatW. I felt like both Ant Man movies were good, but middle of the pack in the MCU.

It's the theme of the movie. The heroes refuse to make sacrifices (usually understandably so) and Thanos is willing to sacrifice anything, so he wins.

The worst example of the heroes coming close and fucking up, Quill losing it when he finds out about Gamora is perfect for the character and fits with every single thing established about him in the previous movies. In Guardians 2 spoilers for Guardians 2, he finds out Ego killed his mom and doesn't think things through or hatch some big plan, he impulsively reacts based on emotion and in that case it's really satisfying cause fuck that asshole. It comes back with Thanos and that time it just...woof.

The only one who "learns their lesson" at the end is Scarlet Witch and it's too late for it to even matter cause Thanos already won.

Thanos was right

I kinda destroyed my disbelief that civilization that advanced cannot manufacture food and resources artificially. The universe is fucking HUGE. We all would have died long before the universe run out of materials.

But the movie is entertaining, and thanos motivation is tolerable if you kinda turn off your brain.
