I was trying to think of a relevant person and Walker is one for sure. I think he will probably get voted in by them

I'd like to see a Rockie in the Hall obviously but if Walker doesn't get in than I think Helton has basically no shot and after that it will be a long time regardless. If I had to put my money on anybody now it would be Arenado of course but even if he does make it, it'll probably be with a different cap. I think he'd have played here long enough to "count" unofficially though

Walker had higher high points but Helton had a better career

Walker was a lot better than Helton but I think they might both get in honestly, they were popular among their peers which is maybe the most important thing

I think Helton might have a better chance than Walker the more that I think about it since he has more of some counting stats and played for one team his whole career and he'll have a few years of eligibility when the current big logjam of controversial steroid guys' eligibility clears

Stupid injuries. The Nuggets are well-known for having great chemistry so I hope he doesn't ruin that. Then again they probably were running that risk already with IT.

Really curious what this team can do at full-strength this year. And let's assume that "full-strength" means without MPJ since they probably aren't going to rush him this year. Man they could be really good in like two years if MPJ isn't a total bust

If I didn't want to take a trip to Colombia next year, I'd buy a Switch for Smash and Pokemon alone. Started playing both at my friend's place. I may be down for games on his Switch if it comes up though.

The other day I saw a kid playing fortnite mobile at a restaurant. That's a real "kids these days" thing for me. I can't imagine ever playing a shooter on my phone, let alone a big multiplayer one, and those games last so long.

How young was the kid? If they were 10/11 or younger I can kind of understand because when they're that young they'll play anything and think it's good, but if they're older they should know better to play a touch screen fps

Yeah he was probably 10. I don't know I guess my old man gamer fear is that when that generation grows up they'll have been playing mostly mobile games their whole lives so they might just stick with it. But I shouldn't worry about that while there are still really good games coming out all the time.

Maybe my mom was just strict, but even if I tried to bring a Game Boy into a restaurant as a little kid, my mom wouldn't have allowed that. If I was lucky, there were crayons that I could use to color the placemats. Kids these days have it too good.

Not long ago I was at brunch and there was a 10ish year old girl and her dad near me. The girl had headphones in and was watching Sonic Adventure speedruns or let's plays or something the entire time. It was so weird that I wondered if she might have been on the spectrum. Either that or an extremely bad relationship with weekend dad

My oldest son (12) has a phone but I don't allow him to look at it when we are at restaurants or visiting with people. I do let him listen to Spotify with headphones in the car or at the grocery store because I just look at it as being like a walkman back in the day.
What I am jealous is that even though there are signs everywhere in his school that state no phone use, his teachers let them listen to music on their phones while they do their work. My teachers never would allow us to have a walkman in class.

I had a bad experience with matchmaking but it worked fine when I was throwing down with mntwins1991. At least on my end it looked fine. Anyway the matchmaking problem is real and probably unfixable because Nintendo

I don't really get why there is a loser's bracket in the character battle, these votes are giving me deja vu. We're probably just going to get a repeat of Zelda beating Mario, and then another repeat of Link beating Zelda. It's not like this is some skill competition where the rematch could actually tilt the other way. My guess was they were banking on rallying and then counter-rallying but nobody cared this year

Jay Cutler spends his days being weird on his wife's reality show. I think that's the main thing he has going on right now.
