I've not done a lot of research into who may or may not run across the DNC field, but yeah, Beto or someone like him, just a decent likeable guy, has an amazing chance of winning the White House. Warren or Clinton (which has to be a joke, right?)... I mean, Trump is hardly a strong candidate so anything is possible, but they are much more beatable.

The actual gender wage gap is an insignificant amount (like 95% or something like that), and can be explained by the fact that men tend to work more than women do.

The only other thing I disagree with Beto about is amnesty for all illegal immigrants. I understand there has to be some sort of compromise, but I think it should be based on how much you're actively trying to improve your life in America and also how long you've been in America.

I agree with him about a lot more things than I disagree with though.

i thought everyone believed the gender wage gap was real, just disagreed on why it exists (the left believes it's because of misogyny/discrimination, the right believes women "just aren't ambitious enough or don't work as hard")

Imagine being this out of touch that you don't even know the right's basic stance on things. The REAL reason (aka the common sense reason) is that women make different career choices. It's not just statistics that prove this, I personally have known several women who turned down promotions, higher paying jobs, and even quit their jobs entirely to spend more time with their kids. One of them already worked from home and she still quit her job.

i was gonna ask if anyone knows anything about Beto besides the fact that he can skateboard and was in a band and is so rad, but i guess Obama was kinda elected under the same pretenses.

i wonder if we will ever have an actually good president at some point. 2016 election was weird because hillary was an awful candidate who rallied the far left, and the far left rallied the far right to elect Trump as the nominee. then everyone in the middle is like uhhhh
