Earlier this year, he got upset when I didn't reply to his messages:



Well, tonight I got a message from somebody who turned out to be him using a new account.

I would post a screenshot, but he blocked me and the conversation is unviewable now. But it went like this:

He opened with "you go to [grocery store] a lot" using a pictureless profile (like before)

me: "this is true"

Then he sent a stream of messages talking about how I was so rude to him, he said hi to me and I ignored him, and he tried to insult me by talking about my "f***y flannel pajama pants" (I often go shopping late at night after showering) and said he wants to punch me every time he sees me there.

I was confused and didn't know what he meant: I never ignore somebody who greets me, I figured I must have had headphones in and didn't hear him, and he's overreacting.

He goes on to say he thinks I rejected him because he's asian, and suddenly I realize who this is, it's the guy from earlier this year, and he's talking about how I ignored him ON GRINDR. I sent him a cropped pic of that message from before, cutting it off before it got to my reply, and asked if it was him. He said it might be since he likes doing massages, but he "doesn't usually have that many typos but might have been drunk"

Then I ask if he is the guy who told me he hoped I'd hook up with a hot guy and get aids and die, and he replied with a paragraph further flaming me and then he blocked me and I lost the conversation.

After typing this up, I see he has unblocked me and now I have new messages from him:



I don't know what he looks like since he hasn't had a profile pic either time he's messaged me, but he knows what I look like and he knows where I shop. I'm afraid he will try to ding my car while I'm shopping. Or even try to confront me in person. He came across as really angry in the conversation and said he wants to punch me every time he sees me in that grocery store. Do you guys think I should do anything, or just ignore it?

This is some creepy shit. Unfortunately grindr can't exactly protect you from this nonsense. Best bet is to block him, delete your account, create a new one with a new picture.

you had already deciding you werent going to reply from the start, so block them then immediately

From now on I will. I'm thinking of going to the store tomorrow and asking if there is somebody working there with his name (his profile had his first name) and I might also avoid that grocery store for a while but IDK, I'll decide when I wake up.

Gay people are regular people, we can be nice and we can also be creeps. Just like straight people. We're not all nice, please don't derail this thread

Anyway, I'll delete my account once I've shown it to the police tomorrow. In the future if I use an app like grindr (it's really not a dating app btw) I'll avoid using a face pic or anything that is personally identifiable. Unfortunately he already knows my face, and where I regularly shop. And I don't know anything about him other than that he's Asian, and his first name assuming he wasn't lying about that. And he seems to be a ball of emotional instability, horniness, and bitterness.

The trouble with things like grindr is all it takes is one creep out of a hundred to ruin it for everyone. Guys like this will go around harrassing as many people as possible in order to get a response.
