not when they keep quality games hostage.
the compromise is to give them as little money as possible. get the consoles on major sales and only buy exclusives again on major sales. of course, giving in to double dipping schemes is overall idiotic(read = rockstar). --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

No, but I've only ever once gotten a system that hadn't already been out for several years (the original Xbox was the exception). Likewise, I probably won't get a PS5 until it's been out a few years either.

I'd never write them off completely without having some idea about their libraries. I generally wait until at least a few years into the gen before deciding (and even then I'll still keep my options open). If there are enough games not available on PC that I want, then I may still buy one. That said, I feel that the number of games in that category is dropping each gen. It's mostly Nintendo games and a few other Japanese games.
