Imagine not putting your phone on silent

I used to get 5am calls from some dipshit at the newspaper who thought he was calling his boss. Most people would make that mistake one time and then be more careful. Not this fucker

it's because I grew up with a landline that I do this, lol.

my parents put the phone in the hallway outside of my room when I was younger, and often be awoken by the phone ringing all times throughout the night

My cellphone is off overnight. I have also never received a text.

When working:
-Phone is silenced/does not vibrate
-Screen lights up on my desk so I know I got a notification and check

When sleeping:
-Phone is silenced and turned so the screen is down so I see no light. No exceptions.

Any other time:
-Only voice calls and calendar notifications (which prompt me to move on to the next scheduled whatever) make sounds
-I check for new messages when I feel like it, but don't want them dinging me with sound or vibration.
