"Here, I just installed Firefox for you with an ad blocker. It's much faster and more secure."

"What?! I don't know how to use that. You didn't uninstall my AOL did you?" *heavy breathing*

The weirdest part is they get their Internet service from other providers but still pay for the premium AOL account. What do they even get out of it? What keeps drawing them back like crackwhores with semen-stained twenty-dollar bills, willing to sacrifice seemingly anything for their fix?

There's a whole lot of money made in the subscription industry from people signing up for shit and then forgetting about it for a long time, paying monthly for something they don't even use

That's probably how AOL makes a lot of its money

Honestly it's the email account. Had a neighbor that was paying for two internet services because he didn't want to lose his original email account.

Everyone actually got to keep their email account for free

If you ever had an AIM name, you have that @aol.com as your email address, and you can still log into it and use it I think

edit: sorry for tagging you, guy who has the screen name "AOL"

Not disagreeing with you. Just saying how a lot of old people are in general. Same with how most of them nowadays have a yahoo email address and won't move away from it despite yahoo being hacked a few times.
