Lol having people over and everyone is on their phone.

If someone is on their phone, its because theyre bored and theres no activities and/or youre a boring ass host.

I personally only hosted more than 2-3 people a few times in my life. It's so much easier just to do shit at other peoples house and not deal with the stress of being the one entertaining. I try to help others entertain but it doesn't fall on me if it ends up boring >_>. Plus I don't like the whole friends bring friends that I dunno. I got a lot of shit I don't keep track of. My own cousins use to steal from me so Im really paranoid about people stealing. I feel like I got way off track...

Thats shitty as far as cousins stealing from you and friends that dont even ask if they can bring a friend.

If I have people over its usually an activity, whether pregaming before going out, cooking food/bbq during the day or just a meet up spot before cliff jumping or something.

Point is theres an activity so people arent bored. Worst case at least turn the tv on.

This guy, cliff jumping and shit. Making life his bitch.

Yeah, my most consistent friend actually lived with me for awhile so when he comes over it's whatever. He still has a room here even. But as long as I keep getting invited places I just do my lil less comfortable social shit other places. Becoming comfortable with yourself is such a game changer.

I quoted it cause I was agreeing with you, dude.

Oh, haha. All the other negative comments set my mind on registering yours as negative too. I was poisoned :/

It's all good ^^

The girl I'm currently talking to is definitely out of my league lmao, here's hoping it goes well

You already implied you won't take rejection personal, so you got nothing to lose. Hope it works out how you want it to.

I asked a girl out once and got straight of rejected. She was hanging out with some of her friends at the time.

So I turned to one of her friends and asked them, right away. She also said no and started to laugh with the first girl. I turned to a third girl standing there and asked her. She said yes.

The other two girls were just like WTF, the one who said yes told them that if I was as persistent in life as I was just getting a date she figured I wouldn't let any kind of opportunity pass me.

Been married to girl #3 for 14 years now

Oh shit, not really what my OP was talking about but that's awesome. We kind of transformed into a topic of your post fitting.

Nice story, but did it ever cause issues that she was your third choice? It doesn't seem like a big deal but I could see it being a point of discussion eventually.

No. She always considered herself the fortunate one, and in her mind the other girls were idiots for not going on that first date.

It became less of a case of her being my third choice, and more of me being her first.
Both those other girls ended up becomming single mothers dependant on welfare and food stamps, and we never did. She sees herself as the winner.

They don't approach life and relationships like "i'm gonna go out, meet a bunch of people, and see who I get along with." They're introverted and spend a lot of time thinking about their dream girl, and if they meet one who's close enough and get rejected it's just too painful to ever try again.

This is pretty true. Sometimes they don't even reach the rejected part too.
