she got evicted from a place she was staying two guys because she's an alcoholic and domestically violent at times and a nutcase. we let her stay with us for a few days but for some reason I blew up on her drunk (as in like "get out of here!" "you can't treat our family this way!")

Id say don't give her much attention unless you know she has a history of being more than just threats.

There is a rap lyric that always stuck with me and I realized a lot of people do this.

"I might make threats I will never fulfill, hoping you're smart enough to use some will, and do as I say out of fear that I will"

Even Ive used this tactic irl.

Shit, I stare down people playing Pokemon Go and coming to a gym Im currently at, hoping their social anxiety will stop them from trying to take my gym lol. If they actually approach me Im gonna talk to them like the nice mostly harmless guy I actually am.

My social anxiety use to make me the person that would just be like "eh, it's not worth it" and Id move on lol.

What if she's serious about the threats? Don't take the chance. You have to report it, if for nothing else but to point them in the right direction when your body is found.
