Through his research of beer and how pH affected taste, an entire element of chemistry was unlocked. H+ vs -OH, water. Beer is an acidic beverage, high in -OH, called alcohol. Now, mass produced alkaline water is a thing and delicious light beer (ie, lightly fermented plant tea) has existed since before Carlsberg brewery. Just thinking online. Safe consumption of beer might be good for most of us. Never drink and drive.
