A little bit of a clickbait title, but not a lot. Check this out:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CA%BBOumuamua

'Oumuamua is the first object detected in space that seems to have interstellar origin, based on its trajectory. The thing is, its trajectory is similar to that of a comet, however it does not seem to be a comet! Which begs the question, why is it accelerating the way it is?

So here's the study:
https://arxiv.org/pdf/1810.11490.pdf

The purpose of the study is to explore if the acceleration could be explained by solar radiation pressure. In other words, could 'Oumuamua be a - natural or artificial - solar sail? Now this paper is of course tricky to read with a lot of crazy math and physics but the way I understand it is something like this. Yeah, the acceleration could conceivably be due to solar radiation. This puts some quite significant conditions on its shape, like, if it's solar radiation then it has to be very sail-like in shape. From the discussion:
If radiation pressure is the accelerating force, then Oumuamua represents a new class of thin
interstellar material, either produced naturally, through a yet unknown process in the [interstellar medium] or in proto-planetary disks, or of an artificial origin.

So, all in all, it's a pretty fun study. More exploring the idea than proving anything, but I thought I'd share it here since science can be pretty cool.

The idea of propulsion using solar radiation is pretty awesome. Dont know if it is viable if we ever want to get out of the solar system, but that is fucking awesome
