From a guy who had no success, or wasn't invested in finding success, I was one of those people who'd rather travel half away cross the city to get wasted at a bar somewhere. To picking up 3-4 chicks in the span of ~2 weeks, I've learned quite a few things in this times.

The main thing is obviously to gauge the matches, some people want to joke around, some people want some grounded conversation and then they will be open up for joking around. Also don't jump the gun, on asking for number/her to your place, until you set the mood. It's usually easy to tell if someone wants to take that next step, when they are actively trying to maintain your attention.
