I know nothing about this. Isn't jailbreaking just allowing you to install third party software? Why is that worth $10k to someone?

Back in the day where iOS was feature less, we jailbreak to get nice features that are developed from the community.

They're not doing it just to get it for themself; they're wanting the jailbreak to be openly distributed.

They might possibly be a retailer who want to resell a jailbreaking service, but it could also just be someone really rich wanting to help out the community.

I think some people are just so ignorant about the alternatives. they lived all their lives just only knowing apple. and they don't realize android is exactly what they want. Apple has kinda brainwashed a huge chunk of the populace
